She has extensive cross-border experience and cultural insights working with European and US clients in FTSE 100,250 and Fortune 500 companies, as well as start-up ventures. Based in the UK, Alex has worked on numerous global and regional assignments for strategic roles focusing on helping companies attract, develop, and retain executives who can effectively lead through change.

Isabella is passionate about amplifying the voices and ideas shaping the energy transition. With a background in investment, she sees how vital it is to connect people across finance, infrastructure and low-carbon technologies to accelerate decarbonisation. She focuses on the human side of cleantech, believing mindset and authenticity are as important as innovation. Looking ahead, Isabella is especially interested in how AI can drive optimisation and efficiency, helping to create momentum for sustainable change.

Paul is Director of Renewables at Brightsmith, leading executive search across the UK and Europe. He focuses on commercial, industrial, and utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, and Wind projects, partnering with developers and IPPs to scale teams and accelerate the energy transition. With 15 years in energy recruitment, Paul has built teams across the U.S. and Europe, including launching offices in Houston and Denver. His start-up experience and sector knowledge support technical hiring and growth across the full project lifecycle. Paul is driven to connect talent with companies building a cleaner future. Seeing those projects delivered is a point of pride. Known as a strategic partner, he offers insights on policy, salaries, and team design. He believes successful hires rely on purpose alignment—skills can be taught, but motivation must fit. He also mentors consultants, sharing experience to develop the next generation of clean energy recruiters.

Emily is a highly experienced recruiter, with deep expertise in the hydrogen sector. She combines a strong technical understanding of the market with a people-first approach to search, enabling her to build lasting relationships with both clients and candidates. Known for her strategic insight and commitment to delivering high-impact talent, Emily plays a key role in shaping the future of the energy transition.

Stuart has deep expertise in hydrogen and energy storage across the German market, with a wealth of experience building high-performing teams in the DACH region. He has a significant understanding of the energy transition and sustainability landscape, with a recent track record of identifying candidates with the technical and business skills needed to take projects from ideation to FID, scale ventures, and advance hydrogen technology. Before joining Brightsmith, Stuart spent almost two years traveling overland via bicycle across Europe and Asia, and is now committed to partnering with teams dedicated to solving some of the clean energy sector’s most urgent problems.

Hetty is our Global Market Lead for Low Carbon Fuels, Molecules, and Technologies. She specialises in working with start-up and scale-up clients, taking a partnership-led approach and adapting to the fast-paced and evolving environments that come with growing businesses. While her core focus is executive and senior leadership appointments, she also works closely with her wider team to deliver team builds and multi-hire campaigns, often following investment, periods of rapid growth, or changes in strategic direction. Her work with emerging technologies takes her into all corners of the energy transition and broader energy security landscape, helping businesses build the teams they need to move from innovation through to commercial scale. Alongside her work at Brightsmith, Hetty is the active UK Lead for Women in Green Hydrogen and is committed to supporting greater equity and inclusion across the industry.

Maria is specialises in Clean Energy Generation and Critical Infrastructure across Europe, with a particular focus on Italy and the Nordics. With eight years of renewable energy recruitment experience and a multilingual European network, she helps developers, IPPs, and EPCs build teams across utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage as well as major data centre projects.

Olivia has a wealth of recruitment experience within the energy transition sector, specialising in BESS and Battery Technology. She is fully focused on the European market, collaborating with industry leaders to support their hiring strategies. Her expertise enables her to connect top-tier talent with innovative companies driving the energy transition and sustainability agenda forward. As our Senior Operations Manager, she leads on all things business and people operations—keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes so the team can focus on delivering for our partners. Based in our Austin office, Mallory is the backbone of Brightsmith’s US operations.
